How can microorganisms play a pivotal role in shaping our future cities? The MA Biodesign team from Central Saint Martins presents ‘The Microbial Council’, a project exploring the potential of microbes in urban environments. This international team of designers and scientists (Lucrezia Alessandroni, Nancy Diniz, Jon Flint and Alice Taylor) envision a future Eindhoven where microorganisms, strengthened and intelligent, coexist with humans, redefining urban living. Their workshops and field trips educate about microbial neighbors, promoting a novel approach to urban planning and environmental stewardship.
