Xinyi Zhang’s Neural Grass Reveries II is an experiment in reciprocal dreaming, weaving the bio-signals of living plants with artificial neural networks. It asks: what might a plant dream, and do the branching patterns of roots, neurons, and machines hint at a shared mechanism of consciousness? By translating subtle plant electrical activity into a continuously unfolding stream of generative imagery, the work meditates on the entanglement of organic and artificial intelligence.
